Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Cut the Base and Back

Cut two pieces of lumber to form the base and back of the house. The base should measure 8 inches by 12 inches, while the back should measure 8 inches by 10 inches.

Step 2: Cut the Sides and Front

Cut two pieces of lumber to create the sides of the house. Each side should measure 8 inches by 6 inches. Cut one piece of lumber for the front, which should measure 8 inches by 12 inches.

Step 3: Assemble the Base

Place the base and back pieces together, forming a right angle. Secure them using nails or screws. Repeat this step with the sides, attaching them to the base.

Step 4: Install the Front

Attach the front piece to the base, sides, and back, forming the enclosure for the house. Ensure that there is a small gap at the bottom of the front for ventilation.

Step 5: Create the Roof

Cut two pieces of lumber for the roof slopes. Each slope should measure 14 inches by 6 inches. Place them side-by-side and secure them with nails or screws.

Step 6: Attach the Roof

Place the roof on top of the house and secure it to the front and back pieces. Leave an overhang of about 2 inches on each side for protection from the elements.
